In London and across the UK we see an increase of isolation and loneliness and an increase of mental health problems especially among young people. We see people looking for more, searching for purpose in life and searching for God. As James Marriott wrote in The Times (May 1st 2024) : “Faith in God is enjoying resurgence in a sign that our culture is less secular than we assume”. We believe that society needs places of prayer, community and discipleship to “feed” the spiritual hunger and particularly to invest in the next generation. We dream of a transformative and welcoming space at the heart of London.
OUR VISION
We dream of a "Dwelling Place”, a House of Prayer with a Heart for Hospitality and Discipleship especially among young people. We want to build a Christ-centred community, with a heart for radical hospitality, a desire for personal encounter with Jesus, and a call to make disciples.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to create welcoming spaces where people can encounter God and deepen their relationship with Him in prayer, worship and community. We want to disciple young people to become passionate and formed followers of Jesus, grow in their identity and be shaped as leaders to be sent and follow God's plan for their lives.
The Dwelling Place will we a place of:
- PRAYER: We want to be a House of Prayer and Worship where people can come to pray, worship and dwell in the presence of God.
- COMMUNITY: We are committed to create a place where people feel welcome and loved as the Father who loves them.
- DISCIPLESHIP: We want to invest in young people to see them growing in their identity and leadership, learning to follow Jesus and to step up in the way they shape society.
The DWELLING PLACE will be a place of ONGOING PRAYER filled with people desiring to make worship a lifestyle. The House of Prayer is the engine of everything we do and people are invited to join in our rhythm of prayer. We want to foster a desire for spending time in the presence of God. In His presence we are invited to listen to His Voice, find rest and be healed.
"One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock” (Psalm 27:4-5)

The DWELLING PLACE is a place of DISCIPLESHIP, where young people are invited to learn to follow Jesus. Filled with the Holy Spirit, we want to grow as followers of Christ, and be a “Lifestyle Witness”. We want to invest in young people to see them growing in their identity and leadership, learning to follow Jesus and to step up in the way they shape society.
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20).
The DWEELING PLACE is a place of COMMUNITY & HOSPITALITY where people feel welcome, loved and cared for as we seek the face of God and encounter Him personally, we invite others in to experience the joy and goodness of God. We want people to experience God’s love in the love we share and to be known for the way we love one another.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." (Matthew 25:35-36)
